If you’ve ever dreamt of walking down Main Street, U.S.A. hand in hand with nostalgia and wonder, this is the year to do it. Disneyland turns 70 years old on July 17, 2025, and trust us , the park has never looked (or felt) more magical.

From a once-in-a-lifetime tribute to Walt Disney himself to exciting new additions and fresh refurbishments across the park, we’re giving you the ultimate update on what to expect this summer, plus which rides are temporarily closed and when they’ll be back.

Let’s plan your escape to the Happiest Place on Earth, in style with The Saunders Escape!

“Walt Disney – A Magical Life” Premieres July 17

A brand-new show is making its debut at the Main Street Opera House, and it’s the crown jewel of the 70th anniversary celebration.

Here’s what to expect:

  • A reimagined lobby with historic exhibits, rare memorabilia, and a heartfelt video series featuring those who worked closely with Walt.

  • A film adaptation of One Man’s Dream, narrated by Walt Disney himself.

  • And the most magical moment of all? The first-ever Audio-Animatronics figure of Walt Disney. It’s lifelike, heartfelt, and inspiring, sharing his story in a recreation of his real studio office.

For Disney fans, this is more than an attraction, it’s a tribute to the dreamer who made it all possible. And it’s only happening at Disneyland, the only park Walt ever walked in himself.
